First off, this happened a couple weekends ago, but you guys, Toby turned 16! Sixteen whole years since tummy time and wolf hats, and it’s been a wild and wonderful ride. xoxoxo
He now towers over both Freddie and me!
Meanwhile, the Knicks are in the NBA finals, and the entire city is going bananas. I love all the blue-and-orange bagels and posters and balloons and outfits and donuts. Even though our family are Warriors fans, the energy is contagious.
Another major competition is happening in Brooklyn haha: a chess face-off between Anton and me. We’ve both gotten super into the game (thanks for your tips), and while Anton has more experience and has been beating me, the games are at least getting a little closer!!!
He also finished up his school track season. Did you ever run track? If so, what distance? As a lifelong non-runner, I’m always very impressed.
My friend Tembe — a beauty and culture writer — has a side hustle, where she and her wife make ridiculously delicious biscuits in Brooklyn. She brought some over the other day, and oh my gosh, you guys, if you are biscuit fans, RUN DON’T WALK.
Last but not least, we went to my friend Leah’s son’s bar mitzvah, and here are some of the fun photos! It was a black-tie pizza party with dancing, blackjack, and roulette. I wish every party could be planned by 13-year-olds 🙂
