Musk has consistently stated that he declined invitations to Epstein’s island and has not been accused of wrongdoing. He said previously that, “We did not see anything inappropriate at all, apart from weird art. He tried repeatedly to get me to visit his island. I declined,” as quoted by Business Insider.

Other emails from early 2013 show Epstein attempting to arrange meetings with Musk at SpaceX’s offices in California. Musk’s personal assistant suggested dates, and Epstein’s assistant confirmed plans. It is not clear whether these meetings actually occurred, and Musk has said Epstein never toured SpaceX facilities.
Epstein’s Lighthearted Messages About Fun and Musk’s Work Schedule
In a separate exchange in early March 2013, Epstein directly messaged Musk with a lighthearted note: “now its time for fun.” Musk replied that he was busy with work at Tesla and SpaceX. Epstein responded with advice about getting more sleep, suggesting it would benefit Tesla, but Musk maintained that his productivity peaked with about six to six and a half hours of sleep.
Epstein Asked Musk About SolarCity for His Caribbean and New Mexico Properties
The emails also show Epstein inquiring about SolarCity, a solar company later acquired by Tesla. In September 2012, Epstein asked if anyone at SolarCity could help “electrify the Caribbean island” or his New Mexico ranch.
Epstein’s Convictions and Death in 2019
Epstein died by suicide in jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex-trafficking charges, he had previously registered as a pedophile in 2008 after pleading guilty to lesser offenses.
