A television series based on a beloved Mel Brooks movie is close to a pilot order at FX. Brooks recently made headlines when it was confirmed that he would be reprising his role of Yogurt for Spaceballs 2.
As per Deadline, a comedy series based on Brooks’ Young Frankenstein is expected to receive a pilot order at FX. Titled A Very Young Frankenstein, Brooks will executive produce the show, while What We Do In The Shadows‘ Stefani Robinson will be a writer and showrunner, and Taika Waititi will direct the pilot episode.
