The economy of Pennsylvania is diversified and includes sectors such as manufacturing, agriculture, mining, energy, biotechnology, and tourism. The state is also home to a number of colleges and universities, including the University of Pennsylvania, one of the eight Ivy League schools. Pennsylvania has a relatively low cost of living and is ranked as one of the safest states in the country.
