Today I’m going to show you a great recipe to reuse some leftover products, like my sauerkraut which I made a couple of weeks earlier. Anyways, you can make this with almost every product possible. This is how to make dumplings with Sauerkraut the recipe!

– 400g of flour
– 200 ml of water
– homemade sauerkraut

How to?
Firstly you are going to need the sauerkraut which I made a couple of weeks earlier. Of course you will use yours.

Then you’re going to make the dough. This is fairly simple to mix the flour and the water. Do mix it thoroughly because you don’t want to get lumps in the dough. Also make sure your dough has the right amount of water. It might be that you need to add more or less water. So be careful with adding the water. When you mixed the dough, let it rest for about 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes make some small balls and roll them out with a dough roller. Make sure your flat dough thingys are round, because this is easier to fold when you’ve put the sauerkraut in. Add the sauerkraut into the dough and fold it. Make sure the dumpling is closed completely. Otherwise the sauerkraut will run out of the dumpling when boiling.

Start cooking some water and when the water is cooking turn the heat lower (medium heat is preferred). Cook the dumplings for about 4 minutes and don’t forget to stir into the pan, because the dumplings shouldn’t stick to each other.

Serve them hot and enjoy your self-made delight. Also a small note. Now I’m filling the dumplings with some sauerkraut, but it is very good possible to add leftovers into the dumpling. In fact this is the reason why people made dumplings, to get rid off there leftovers!
